Mark Lloyd Master Goldsmith

I am Mark Lloyd. I have come a long way from starting in the trade as a 17-year-old; this year, 2025, sees me hit 40 years in the trade. I began as a jobber in a busy jewellery shop focussed on repairs. After 5 years as an apprentice, I moved to a new location close to home. I began focusing on improving and learning for the next 15 years.

After opening my shop 25 years ago, I continued to repair everything. Still, I turned my focus to more handmade items so that I would earn a reputation as somewhere to get what you want and not just off the shelf. I now focus on making wedding, engagement, and ashes jewellery. I also make custom bespoke one-off jewellery for clients worldwide.

From my shop in Hartlepool, my team and I remake, repair, and restore jewellery. My design and goldsmith skills as a trade master have ensured I am constantly in demand. I qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths, earning the achievement of using the letters FIPG after my name.

Today, we are well known locally as a family-run business. My wife Michelle is part of the team, and we have an excellent team of professionals, each playing an essential role in caring for our customers.
