The motifs range from common weeds that grow along the roadside to seasonal flowers and leaves, and even food ingredients.
Sometimes the plants used as motifs are collected from the mountains and fields, but many of the motifs are taken from the garden of the gallery adjacent to the studio in Yamanashi Prefecture, where a variety of plants grow.
