Kayla Rimmon – Aril Jewels
Kayla, with her expertise in traditional jewellery design techniques, is our award-winning design doyenne! Having studied jewellery design at the impressive Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City as well as Art History at Hunter College, there’s not much about jewellery design that Kayla doesn’t know. She has significant experience in helping guide our clients to discover the perfect piece or bespoke design which is right for them.
A whiz with a pencil or paintbrush, she creates beautiful technical drawings and hand-painted renderings which help bring our designs to life. She has a particular passion for unique gemstone and colour combinations and the whimsical side of fine jewellery.
Why Aril Jewels?
The pomegranate has been a symbol of abundance, fertility, love, and marriage for thousands of years the world over. When extended as an offering, it signifies goodwill and the best of intentions from one heart to another. It is the jewel-like seeds that make up a pomegranate that are called arils. At the heart of Aril Jewels is the desire to express love and a connection with the past. So what more perfect symbol, or name, could there be?
