“I have always, and still, love what I do.”
I have been fascinated with all things miniature for as long as I can remember.
At the age of 12 I met an amazing woman, Jeannie Taylor, a jeweller, who inspired me to turn my fascination into something tangible. My path, clearly mapped out from then, led me to a degree in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, latterly part of The London Metropolitan University. I have followed my dream for over 40 years!
After graduating from Sir John Cass, I joined the prestigious London Jeweller Theo Fennell and after a year at the bench being mentored by Cartier Award winner Simon Coldicott, I ran Theo’s workshops for 10 years, covering all aspects of jewellery and silver production.
I started a family in 1995 so decided to return ‘home’ and began working for a local, family run jewellers, Percy Davies in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire (now part of the Cotswold Fine Jewellery Group), where I have become an established jewellery designer and Goldsmith.
I became a fellow of the institute of professional goldsmiths in 2008 and most recently have been exploring 2-dimensional art in the form of acrylic on canvas and other media.
