Joanna Stroinska Ltd
I began my journey in jewellery making in 1986, at the age of 15, working in a goldsmith’s workshop in my hometown in Poland. It was there that I gained invaluable hands-on knowledge of traditional goldsmithing and handmade jewellery production. I learned how to alloy metals to specific purities and colours, solder using alloys of different hardnesses, test gold on a touchstone using touch needles, melt clients’ sentimental gold, and create truly one-off pieces.
I have been living in the UK since 2004. During this time, I have worked for several jewellery and goldsmithing companies, each of which further expanded my skills and experience.
Over the years, I have completed numerous specialist courses to continue developing my craft. Some of the most significant include stone setting — including micro-setting — hand and laser engraving, wax carving, CAD design, and, most recently, lapidary stone cutting and polishing.
I have also had the pleasure of creating beautiful jewellery pieces for celebrities.
Today, we continue to handcraft jewellery, often using clients’ sentimental gold to create exceptional and highly personal pieces, many of them completely unique.
